A Support Center for Kupiansk Residents Who Were Forced to Leave Their Homes Due to Russian Shelling Opens in Kharkiv
The hub will operate in a safe space where people can receive various forms of support and assistance, including services from employment specialists who will be on duty there.
“The Employment Service offers many opportunities to provide jobs for internally displaced persons, including programs for business creation and development, vocational training, retraining, and temporary employment,” said Oleksandr Kotukov, Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center.
Modern Services and Employment Assistance for IDPs:
- Employment Assistance: Personalized job matching, taking into account education, professional experience, and the job seeker’s preferences.
- Online Job Search Services: Access to the Unified Job Portal and the Job Seeker’s Electronic Account.
- Participation in Community Service and Other Temporary Work.
- Vocational Training: Training for the unemployed upon employer request; access to a voucher program that allows for free professional skill enhancement.
- Grants for Starting or Growing a Business: The “Own Business” program offers microgrants up to 500,000 UAH in Kharkiv and the region; the “Veterans and Spouse Grant” provides grants up to 1 million UAH.
