The High Hub Youth Center on 22.02 held a screening of the legendary animated film “Inside Out 2” for visitors, which very accurately and subtly portrays the inner world of a teenager — with all its joys, doubts, and worries.
After the screening, they talked about the fact that there are no “bad” emotions. Each of them is important. Anxiety can serve as a warning, sadness helps us process loss, and joy gives us the strength to move forward. Teenagers actively participated, shared their own experiences, and even admitted that they recognized themselves in some moments of the animated film.
They also focused separately on the topic of anxiety. They discussed several simple and effective methods of managing it — breathing exercises, grounding techniques, and ways to shift attention.
At the end, they talked about motivation and support. About how important it is not only to seek support from others, but also to learn to find inner resources. After all, everyone has something that helps them endure: a dream, the experience of overcoming difficulties, the support of loved ones, and faith in themselves.
The events are held within the framework of the “Skills of the Third Millennium” project, implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysokyi settlement council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the “Pulse of the Community” project funded by The Global Fund for Community Foundations.
