From June 18 to 21, 2025, an Accessibility Training for Youth Centers took place, organized to enhance the capacity and sensitivity of youth work to diversity and the needs of all!
Representing the Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysochanska Settlement Council, our youth worker Viktoria Shevchenko took part in the training.
The program included:
- Team exploration of perceptions of accessibility
- Inclusive language, inclusion, and diversity
- Human rights and the National Accessibility Strategy
- The role of youth centers in overcoming barriers
- Physical accessibility and universal design
- Interactive sessions, practice fair, and vision development for “My Accessible Youth Center”
- Planning and presentation of future actions
Viktoria returned with fresh ideas and the determination to implement changes in our center, making High Hub even more open, accessible, and welcoming for every young visitor.
