On 16.06, a social cohesion training “Listening in Triangles” was held at the High Hub Youth Center in Babai, the purpose of which was to give the participants an understanding of how inattentive listening, non-listening occurs, and to practice the skill of attentive listening.
The participants joined in threes and received one of three roles:
narrator
the listener
an observer
During their speech, the narrators encountered 2 types of listening: inattentive and active
They shared their impressions after the training:
Artem, 29 years old: “It is a very useful exercise for children, so that they learn to respect the interlocutor and establish social relations, and such skills will not interfere with adults.”
Pavlo, 13 years old “I immediately saw that there was some trick here, the listener behaved so demonstrably inattentively. At the end of the training, I understood that this was a task from the presenter, in order for us to understand what verbal and non-verbal manifestations are during a conversation and how use them for effective communication”
