On September 1st, at the High Hub Youth Center of the Vysochanska Village Council, an extraordinary event took place, bringing a wave of positive emotions and unforgettable impressions! We had the honor of meeting the talented artist and illustrator Olena Pavlova, who presented her new book — The Alphabet of the Cat Inzhir.
This is not just an alphabet book, but a true work of art, combining educational content with aesthetic pleasure. Each page of the book tells a small story, where the main character, the cat Inzhir, helps children and their parents learn the Ukrainian alphabet in a fun and playful way.
Olena Pavlova shared about her creative journey, inspiration, and the process of creating the book. She revealed the secrets of how the character of the cat Inzhir was born and how she managed to turn ordinary letters into bright and lively characters. A particularly valuable part was the dialogue with the audience, where anyone could ask questions and receive a signed autograph as a keepsake.
The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. All attendees were enchanted by Olena’s sincerity and her love for her craft. The Alphabet of the Cat Inzhir is a wonderful example of how learning can be engaging and fun.
At the event, we not only listened but also sang Shchedryk, and under Olena’s guidance, everyone was able to draw their own cat.
We also express sincere gratitude to the Serhiy Zhadan Charitable Foundation, its director Varya Chorna, and the Kharkiv Literary Fair for making this meeting possible.
The Serhiy Zhadan Charitable Foundation donated bookshelves and books collected during the Literary Fair. A reading room is planned to open at the Youth Center, which will undoubtedly become a favorite place for the community’s youth and help young people fall in love with reading.
