On March 26, a meeting with artist Varia Chorna took place at the Youth Center High Hub in the format of a Living Library, along with a presentation of her poems from the collection “Heavy Metaphysics”. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce young people and the community to contemporary Ukrainian literature through the “Living Library” format, where the book is a person and reading is a sincere conversation. Varia Chorna shared personal stories that became the basis of her творчості, which created an atmosphere of maximum trust.
The second part of the event was held in a Q&A format. Young people активно were interested in the process of writing a new book and heard an excerpt from it. The meeting ended with informal communication, a photo session, and hugs.
Varia donated a copy of the collection “Second Wreath” — modern Ukrainian women’s poetry with her own poems — to the Youth Center’s library.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium”, implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “HIGH HUB” of the Vysokyi settlement council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the project “Community Pulse”, funded by The Global Fund for Community Foundations.
