On June 7, the Youth Center “Khai Hub” of the Vysochanska Settlement Council in the town of Vysokyi was visited by actor, producer, second director, line producer, and cameraman Denys Vorontsov.
He is especially known for his work in documentary cinema, particularly as part of the BABYLON’13 collective, which emerged during the Revolution of Dignity in 2013. He emphasizes that documentary film is a powerful tool capable of changing lives.
He has also worked on many other projects, including feature films, notably as the second director of the film “Pamfir.”
Denys presented several of his documentaries related to the Kharkiv region, starting with the film “Zhadan and Druziaky” about the writer’s volunteer activities in 2022. Denys eagerly answered visitors’ questions, and at the end, everyone watched his new work together — the music video “Kholodna Hora” for the song by the band “Zhadan i Sobaky feat. Kurgan i Aggregat.”
We look forward to new meetings with the director and his upcoming works, including feature films.
