Recently, from January 20 to 23, the director of our Communal Institution High Hub Youth Center of Vysokanska Settlement Council, Nataliia Pakhnina, attended a training organized by the Association of Youth Centers of Ukraine on writing educational programs for Youth Centers in Slavske.
This was one of those cases where a complex topic turned into a clear, understandable action algorithm.
Non-formal education, which we are engaged in, requires new methods and must be clear and engaging for young people.
The most valuable aspects were:
- Structure: A clear distinction between program components (goals, learning outcomes, assessment methods).
- Practice: We didn’t just listen — we also drafted our first versions of educational programs, which the trainers could review, advise on, and suggest improvements.
- Focus on results: A better understanding of how to develop an educational program in our institution with care for the future well-being of young people.
And most importantly — in our education, there are no right or wrong answers. The Youth Center and young people constantly learn from each other to become better together!
