On the eve of the New Year, within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” a group psychological consultation for youth titled “Navigator of the Future for 2026” was held.
At the beginning, an introduction took place in an interactive format, where everyone named their name, some kind of association, and showed a fun gesture. The “highlight” was that as the turn passed along, participants had to remember the names, associations, and gestures of those before them. The exercise not only caused laughter and joyful emotions but also helped establish communication and taught that remembering anything is easier when using certain associations.
The key part of the meeting was a creative exercise aimed at shaping an image of the future. In an unusual way, participants visualized their dreams for the coming year — they drew the outline of a red Horse and wrote inside it the wishes and aspirations they would like to realize in 2026.
As emphasized by trainer-psychologist Iurii Chumak, the ability to clearly formulate one’s wishes and aspirations contributes to better awareness of one’s own needs, increased self-confidence, and the formation of the ability to build realistic life goals.
At the end, children and teenagers chose cards from the game “On Emotions,” which clearly demonstrated that everyone’s pre-New Year mood had improved.
The events take place within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysochanska Settlement Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the project “Community Pulse,” funded by The Global Fund for Community Foundations (GFCF) The Global Fund.
