Opening a Cafe in Babai?
Or maybe on Alchevskyh Street in Kharkiv, or even on Mars?
Such a startup was developed by participants of the group career consultation “SMALL BUSINESS – CAFE IN BABAI.”
Participants divided into four teams and presented their ideas after half an hour of discussion. While the “grant jury” decided who would take the lead and whose project would receive funding, the youth, under the guidance of chef Nataliia Vysokosova, baked a waffle pie, despite the lack of electricity.
Eva, 16: “Our team wrote our project ‘Opening a Cafe’ by imagining our dream establishment – multicultural, comfortable, and accessible for everyone. We didn’t limit ourselves by budget or theme; we just wanted to create a place that young people would love.”
Lina, 13: “Today was very interesting. I took on the role of the cook in our ‘cafe’ because my mom is also a cook, and I decided to support the family business.”
The project is implemented by the NGO “Association of Youth Leaders of Ukraine” and NGO Youth Platform within the framework of the USAID Ukraine – “Dream and Act” program, carried out by IREX in Ukraine.
