Step Towards New Opportunities: Event for Veterans at the “Return” Hub, – NGO “Association of Youth Leaders of Ukraine”

Крок до нових можливостей: захід для ветеранів у Хабі "Повернення", - ГО “Асоціація молодіжних лідерів України”

On October 21, 2024, the event “Business for Veterans: Ideas, Startups, Grant Writing” successfully took place at the “Return” Hub!

We were pleased to welcome veterans, entrepreneurs, and everyone who seeks to support veterans in their business initiatives. The speakers shared extremely useful knowledge and inspiring stories on how to successfully start a business after service.

Our speakers:

Volodymyr Liah — a veteran entrepreneur, winner of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund contest “It’s Worth Starting Your Own Business,” project manager of “Sports for Heroes — Veteran Rehabilitation Football Program,” and an expert in grant writing. His experience and advice helped participants understand how to turn an idea into a real business.

Vitalii Krestienkov — Deputy Head of the NGO “Association of War Veterans and Patriots of Ukraine.” He spoke about the importance of supporting veterans’ health, including psychological assistance and prosthetics. These aspects are crucial for adaptation and successful living after the war.

Kyrylo Kuzminov — Deputy Head for Veteran Business of the NGO “Union of ATO Veterans.” He shared his entrepreneurial experience, emphasizing the importance of supporting veterans on their path to business development. After the official part, we also had the opportunity to personally consult veterans on business strategies and entrepreneurship development.

Participants had the chance to ask questions to the speakers and receive valuable advice on grant writing and developing their own startups. We believe that such events are an important step toward creating new opportunities for veterans!
