On September 13, at the High Hub Youth Center of the Vysochanske Settlement Council, a creative meeting was held with Borys Hryniov
“The Diamond King or the Incorrigible Romantic”
Borys Hryniov is a well-known Kharkiv scientist, collector, and poet. He is a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as the founder and honorary head of the NGO Municipal Gallery, which actively supports contemporary art.
At the creative meeting, a presentation of his book took place, and several copies were donated by Mr. Borys to the future library of the Youth Center — “Symphony of War.”
“Symphony of War” is one of Borys Hryniov’s most famous poetry collections. It is a book that combines poetry, music, and visual art.
“Symphony of War” is not just text. It includes illustrations created by artist Yulia Nabokova that visually complement the poetic lines. The book also features augmented reality, where one can see and hear poems performed by professional actors, with musical accompaniment and animated visuals.
All of this cannot fail to impress the reader. Moreover, the book is bilingual — all the poems can also be read in English.
During the meeting, among the attendees, for the most interesting question from the audience, Mr. Borys acknowledged Mrs. Larysa Pakosh and gifted her his poetry collection.
