Hello everyone!)
On September 15, 2024, the Youth Center High Hub in Babai hosted the following developmental events:
- Group Psychological Counseling “Dictionary of Trendy Psychological Terms: I’m in the Loop!”
- Workshop “The Tree of My Self”
During the counseling session, the youth learned about psychological manipulative techniques used on social media, and encountered terms like ghosting, mobbing, orbiting, and others. All participants took these insights to better recognize virtual psychological abuse at its early signs.
In the workshop, participants were invited to collaboratively draw a tree, adding a piece of their identity to it. This exercise aimed at expanding personal capacities and exploring individual resources, with questions about development (past, present, and future) helping each participant understand their future. Everyone felt the results of their transformation during the workshop.
At the end of the meeting, a reflection on the events was held.
Yegor, 11 years old: “I had a great time with my friends and learned about various manipulative tricks that some people use online. I’ll try not to fall for their bait.”
Polina, 13 years old: “I’ve experienced similar behaviors from people towards me: gaslighting, ghosting, and more. Now I know how to resist them.”
