Taking into account the urgent need identified during field events, the Kharkiv Regional Employment Service initiated the inclusion of a new type of socially useful work—“Tasks Related to Maintaining Public Order”—in the resolution of the Lozova District Military Administration.
Since December last year, the first assistants to district inspectors, recruited from the unemployed, have started working in six village councils of the Lozova community. Their duties include interacting with the community police officer, documenting violations of public order regulations, and informing residents. This initiative has optimized the work of law enforcement officers: now, the police officer has more time for urgent tasks, while the community has become safer and more organized.
“The Kharkiv Regional Employment Service is the first in Ukraine to introduce this type of work, and we are already seeing results. The project has proven its effectiveness in the Lozova community, so we plan to expand this experience to other communities in the region,” emphasized Oleksandr Kotukov, Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center.
Future plans include involving all village councils of the Lozova community and expanding the initiative to other districts of Kharkiv region. This project not only strengthens public order but also provides socially important employment opportunities for those in need.
