🤝 Today at the Universytet metro station, a job fair for veterans titled “Jobs for Heroes” was held. This was the second such event organized by the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center.
Various organizations and employers presented their vacancies and services for veterans, including the public organizations “PETRIOTS 1654”, “Kharkiv Regional Union of Defenders of Ukraine’s Freedom”, the public union “Association of United Forces”, as well as several employers such as: Kharkiv Metro, Ukrposhta, Household Waste Removal Complex, Shlyakhrembud, Complex for Operation of Drainage and Stormwater Systems, Municipal Ground Transport Enterprises, Kharkiv City Center for Social Services “Dovira”, O.M. Beketov KhNUMG, Kharkiv Dairy Plant, PJSC “New Style”, LLC “Security Protection”, “PSV-Antique”, “HKF UNISOFT”, “Comfy Trade” and others. Among the participants were also employment service grant recipients – private entrepreneurs Oleh Serhiyovych Stepnykh and Viktor Mykolaiovych Trubchanov.
According to Oleksandr Kotukov, director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, more than 20 employers from various sectors took part in the event. They offered around 100 current vacancies with competitive salaries and social guarantees.
Visitors to the fair were offered jobs in specialties such as economist, accountant, mechanical assembly fitter, plumbing installer, civil engineer, postal operator, mail carrier, branch manager, specialist, seamstress, driver (categories C, E), plasterer, manager, veteran and demobilized persons support specialist, turner, painter, tiler, and more.
Employment service specialists provided consultations on opportunities for receiving grants to start their own businesses, undergoing vocational training with vouchers, and acquiring working professions at the Vocational Education Centers of the State Employment Service.
“We strive to ensure that every defender feels valued and knows that a job will always be available for them. Currently, more than 500 veterans are registered with the employment service, and already 119 have been employed this year. Supporting veterans is one of our top priorities,” emphasized Oleksandr Kotukov.
More than 200 people attended the event, including around 60 veterans.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Regional Military Administration, the Kharkiv City Council, and the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
