Thanks to the “Own Business” program, a resident of Berestivka opened her own business
Iryna Dolzhenkova from Berestivka had worked as an accountant for many years. After the birth of her daughter, while on maternity leave, she began thinking about starting her own business — a studio where she could provide pedicure services, particularly for people with problematic feet and nails.
Wasting no time, Iryna actively studied, developed her professional skills, and planned how she could help people who require special care.
After learning about the state program #Own_Business, Iryna contacted the Made in Ukraine office operating at the Berestivka branch of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center. There she received qualified consultation about business-starting opportunities, as well as assistance in preparing her business plan and presenting it.
Thanks to the support of the specialists, Iryna properly completed her application, successfully defended her business idea, and received a microgrant of 75,000 UAH. In September of this year, she registered as a sole proprietor. The entrepreneur used the funds to purchase the necessary equipment — a pedicure chair and a milling machine.
Just two months after launching her business, Iryna has already built a steady client base and welcomes visitors to her own comfortable studio, where everything is arranged for clients’ convenience: a cozy waiting area, sterility, cleanliness, and a pleasant atmosphere.
And this is only the beginning! Cooperation with the Employment Service continues — specialists will keep providing Iryna with consulting support and guidance in developing her business.
