On 30.06, an Art Toloka and a psychological session organized by the “Safe Circle” Psychological Support Center HEKS/EPER in Kharkiv were held at the Municipal Institution High Hub Youth Center of the Vysochanska Settlement Council.
First, the participants learned how to distinguish support from manipulation and where the line lies between healthy compromise and losing one’s own identity. These challenging yet extremely important topics were discussed during our special meeting, which combined art and psychology in the cozy atmosphere of the Youth Center.
The “Safe Circle” Psychological Support Center HEKS/EPER conducted a unique Art Toloka.
Together with our psychologists, participants learned how to:
Recognize “red flags” in relationships (hidden aggression, devaluation, and boundary violations).
Say “no” in a healthy way without feeling guilty.
Distinguish temporary crises in friendships from systematic toxicity.
After that, our visitors were able to release accumulated tension and transform negative experiences into beautiful art objects. Most of them painted cats, but there was also one drawing that touched the heart of every participant: the boys painted the coat of arms of the Donetsk region as a symbol of remembrance, faith in Victory, and the return of the temporarily occupied territories under the Ukrainian flag.
On this day, every participant experienced the incredible support of like-minded people among friends.
We thank Kharkiv artist Lenchyk Desiushka for participating and our benefactors for the delicious porridge and sweets.
