Hello to all critical thinkers.
To us, you are “kitties” because you are cute and “critical thinkers” because you are trained to think critically.
On October 20, 2024, we held three wonderful events on media literacy and cybersecurity at the SmartCommunity Center in the village of Pokotilivka, organized by the High Hub Youth Center:
- A cybersecurity training session titled “Stop Blackmail,”
- A quest called “Data Protection,” and a role-playing training game titled “In Search of Adventures.”
We learned about:
- What blackmail is,
- The different types of blackmail,
- How to protect ourselves from blackmail online,
- We played a role-playing game where we experienced being both blackmailers and victims, learning how to act in different situations.
We also had fun during the media literacy quest, where we decrypted information, analyzed social media, and identified phishing emails.
During the “In Search of Adventures” game, we competed in teams, and the best teams received awesome prizes: tickets for roller skating at Shato Ledo and board games.
Lina, 13 years old: “We had a great time learning to argue and defend our opinions, and I especially liked the interactive game ‘Patriotic Chicken.'”
Veronika, 20 years old: “I loved the prizes and the quest in the center’s yard; it was thrilling to search for the code to move on to the next level of the quest. It was challenging but fun and interesting.”
This project is implemented by the NGO Association of Youth Leaders of Ukraine and the NGO Youth Platform as part of the USAID Ukraine program – Dream and Act, which is carried out by IREX in Ukraine.
