The pain of Kharkiv has not gone unnoticed. This time, it has found a response in the hearts of people thousands of kilometers away. From the Netherlands to Kharkiv came a large shipment of aid from our friends Marcel Daniels, Lionsclubs Nederland, Lions MD112 – Belgium, Heart 4 Ukraine: clothing, toys, hygiene products, furniture, and — importantly — vital medical equipment, including ultrasound machines.
For our team at the NGO “Veterans’ Squads,” this aid is like a breath of fresh air when strength is nearly gone. Seeing the many wounded who urgently need fresh clothes and hygiene products, watching a mother of many children hold a package of supplies and cry, or a child hugging a toy as if it is the only thing protecting them from fear — these moments show how critical this support is.
Doctors say, “we critically lack equipment,” and we cannot ignore this.
Kharkiv is tired but unbreakable. In that resilience lives a part of everyone who has not abandoned us in our time of need.
Thank you, dear friends: Marcel Daniels, Lionsclubs Nederland, Lions MD112 – Belgium, Heart 4 Ukraine, for standing with us — for your faith, kindness, and actions that change lives.
A special thanks to our friend and volunteer Serhii Barybin, who during the war has provided a place to store all this cargo. Mr. Serhii has been helping us in our volunteer mission for five years.
With love and gratitude — The NGO “Veterans’ Squads” team
