The Creative Power of Healing: Art Therapy for Our Heroes
Recently, we conducted another psychological support training for veterans, focusing on the topic “Art Therapy as a Path to Healing.” This session offered our defenders the opportunity to use creativity as a means to restore their inner strength and balance.
“Art therapy is not just about drawing or sculpting. It is a powerful tool that helps veterans express what is difficult to put into words. Through creativity, they find new ways to cope with their experiences and reconnect with their inner world,” says psychologist Serhiy Usenko. “Each session is a step towards returning to peaceful life.”
These trainings are vital because they not only help veterans cope with the past but also show that we are always there for them. It is our responsibility to support those who have defended our country and help them find peace and a new purpose in life.
This project was created by the NGO “Wives of ATO Veterans” with the support of ISAR Ednannia within the framework of the “Civil Society Sectoral Support Initiative,” implemented by ISAR Ednannia in consortium with the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research and the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law, with the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). It is also part of the “VARTO: EDNANNIA” grant program, funded by the state budget through the Ukrainian Veterans Fund of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
