Today, caring for mental health is no less important than physical recovery.
The wives and partners of military personnel and veterans often carry an enormous emotional burden—worry, anxiety, exhaustion, the effects of prolonged stress, and life under the conditions of war. That is why, at the NGO “Veterans’ Wives,” we pay special attention to providing psychological support for the partners of military personnel and veterans, helping them find inner resources, restore balance, and regain a sense of stability.
One of the modern and effective methods we use is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This approach helps people work through traumatic experiences, reduce the intensity of distressing emotions, and promote the restoration of their psycho-emotional well-being. At a time when the war affects every Ukrainian family, such support is not just important—it is essential.
It is especially valuable that our specialists had the opportunity to receive EMDR therapy training in Würzburg, gaining modern knowledge and practical tools for working with people experiencing the consequences of traumatic events. Today, this knowledge is applied in our daily work to support and help restore those who need it most.
Together, we are creating a space of support where there is room for recovery, strength, and hope.
