In a city where silence has become rare and shelling a terrifying daily reality, Halyna Volodymyrivna and her husband were simply trying to survive until morning in their beloved home. But this night was different.
Their one-and-a-half-year-old puppy, Jack, had never been a “service” dog. Yet at three o’clock in the morning, he became a true guardian angel. Jack began acting as if he sensed impending danger: he desperately woke his owners, not letting them sleep a single second longer. Halyna Volodymyrivna immediately woke her husband, and they managed to run out onto the doorstep.
A second later, an explosion occurred. Right before their eyes, their home turned into ashes. If it weren’t for Jack, that night would have been the couple’s last.
Today, this family of pensioners is forced to start everything from scratch. In moments like this, one truly understands the importance of timely support.
Our organization, NGO “Veterans’ Wives,” is already by this family’s side. We were able to quickly provide them with necessary food supplies and basic assistance.
