The NGO “Veterans’ Wives” is starting a program of social support
The team of the NGO “Veterans’ Wives” took part in a practical seminar and officially begins the implementation of the program to provide social support to the families of military personnel. From now on, we have become official providers of social services to military families and their loved ones
The seminar covered important topics such as the relevance and purpose of providing social services, an overview of the key needs of the target audience, the infrastructure of the social protection system, as well as the roles and responsibilities of social work specialists
Special attention was paid to establishing communication with victims of mine-explosive objects, social adaptation of veterans and their families, methods of self-help and supervision
Olga Lekhan, head of the NGO “Wives of Veterans”, noted: “These initiatives are extremely important. We want every military family to feel supported, to know that they are not alone in their difficulties. Social support helps not only in adapting to a peaceful life, but also in restoring faith in the future. We want to create conditions so that veterans and their families can live full lives, receiving the necessary help and support. It is our joint mission to help those who have sacrificed their most precious things for us.”
