Support. Understanding. Recovery.
As part of the psychological support project for veterans and their family members, the NGO “Veterans’ Wives” conducted a training dedicated to the topics of fatigue, apathy, and exhaustion.
The event was led by Anna Kuruch — a psychologist, EMDR therapist, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, professor.
During the meeting, the participants explored the nature of emotional exhaustion, its causes, and its impact on everyday life. An important part of the work was normalizing these states and understanding that fatigue and apathy are a natural response to prolonged stress and heavy workloads. Each participant also created a personal recovery resource plan aimed at gradually restoring strength and inner balance.
“Timely awareness of the limits of one’s own resources helps prevent deep exhaustion. Self-care is a necessary condition in order to continue being able to support those around you,” the psychologist emphasized.
We thank everyone who joined the training. We will continue working to ensure that every veteran’s family has access to quality psychological support and a safe space for recovery.
We respect the participants’ request for privacy, so we do not publish photos from the meeting.
The project is implemented with the support of the KSE Foundation — the charitable foundation of the Kyiv School of Economics.
