On March 10, at the High Hub Youth Center, a board game club took place. Participants played “Borscht” and Alias. Board games contribute to the development of communication skills and team cohesion.
The course of the game “Borscht”:
Players transformed into chefs, each receiving a secret borscht recipe. The main task was to gather the necessary ingredients (beetroot, cabbage, meat, etc.) faster than opponents, using market and exchange mechanics.
The game sparked lively interest thanks to its patriotic theme and the exciting process of “throwing cracklings” at opponents. Participants actively interacted, exchanging cards and calculating victory points.
The winner was Viktoriya Shklyayeva, who was the first to cook the “perfect borscht,” earning the highest number of points for recipe complexity.
In the next game, Alias, the task was to explain as many words from the cards as possible to another player in one minute without using words with the same root.
This stage was the most emotional. The fast pace of the game and time restrictions created a unique atmosphere.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the High Hub Youth Center of the Vysochanska Village Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” as part of the project “Community Pulse,” funded by the Global Fund for Community Foundations.
