On December 20, 2025, a Christmas Checkers Championship was held at the Municipal Institution “Youth Center ‘HIGH HUB’”.
Organizers: Vysochany Children and Youth Sports School and the High Hub Youth Center. The goal of the event was to promote intellectual sports among the youth of the Vysochany community, as well as
the organization of meaningful leisure and strengthening friendly ties between the settlements of the community (in this championship — Vysokyi and Pokotylivka).
Young athletes were welcomed by the First Deputy Head of the Vysochany Settlement Council, Ivan Mykhailychenko.
“Sport is one of the priority areas for the development of children and youth in the community. The Vysochany community is one of the first in promoting sport and a healthy lifestyle among the communities of the Kharkiv region,” noted Ivan Oleksandrovych. He wished the young athletes an interesting and intense competitive process, sporting achievements, and victory.
The competitions were held in two categories:
boys and girls.
The participants demonstrated a high level of skill, concentration, and the will to win. Each game was accompanied by intense competition, and the final matches determined the strongest strategists of the community.

The participants received sweet New Year gifts from the Vysochany Settlement Council and commemorative souvenirs from the competition organizers.
