On December 18, a literary evening “My Favorite Book” was held at the Municipal Institution Youth Center “HIGH HUB” of the Vysochanska Settlement Council. The main goal of the meeting was to promote reading among young people and to develop public speaking and discussion skills. The event was aimed at giving participants the opportunity to share their literary preferences and find like-minded people.
Among our visitors there were fans of both Ukrainian and foreign literature; the names of authors Ivan Bahrianyi, Lewis Carroll, Jules Verne, Andrzej Sapkowski, and even the Kharkiv poet Natalka Marynchak were mentioned. We recalled the artists of the Ukrainian Executed Renaissance, and the youth noted that the history of a hundred years ago is repeating itself today, and once again Russia is destroying the young generation of Ukrainian artists, but already during this war.
The guest of the event — contemporary Ukrainian poet and serviceman Sashko Kucherenko — read poems from his collections and also shared his favorite books.
And at the end of the meeting, its participants played the board game Alias, demonstrating their vocabulary and creativity.
