As part of a mental health and socio-emotional support program implemented by the NGO “Ukrainian Professional Development” with support from UNICEF, the Youth Center High Hub conducted a psychological training session to explore the physiotherapeutic impact on individuals in need through specially trained therapy dogs, known as canine therapy, a form of animal therapy. Participants had the opportunity to experience this method firsthand by hugging and interacting with dogs Archie and Merlusha, brought by her pet-mother Larisa Kalnytska, head of the NGO “BF Two Hearts,” which helped improve the psychological state of the group members.
The second activity was an art practice workshop to enhance cognitive skills through “Twisting,” using special balloons under the guidance of our psychologist, Svitlana. Participants learned the basics of balloon art design.
