Debunking common gender and social stereotypes, developing critical thinking, teamwork skills, and tolerance were the goals of the quest held at the High Hub Youth Center as part of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium.” The quest was titled “Stereotype Busters.”
The quest consisted of five thematic stations. At each station, teams received tasks after a short informational briefing on gender stereotypes delivered by volunteers from our Center.
Teamwork helped strengthen group cohesion and improve communication between participants of different age groups. Together with the volunteers, there were 22 participants aged from 10 to 17.
The team “Flying Sparks” answered the questions most accurately and successfully completed all tasks, for which each player received creativity kits and flashlights.
The second team, “Stars,” received notebooks, and everyone gained useful knowledge and spent their holidays in a meaningful and enjoyable way.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysochanska Settlement Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka,” as part of the “Community Pulse” project, funded by The Global Fund for Community Foundations (GFCF).
