On March 21, at the Municipal Institution Youth Center “HIGH HUB” of the Vysokyi settlement council, a training on self-presentation and public speaking for girls aged 14 to 24 was held as part of the “POWER4Girls” project.
The main goal of the training was to provide participants with practical tools for confidently positioning themselves in society, overcoming fear, and developing effective communication skills.
Key objectives of the training:
to teach techniques for overcoming anxiety before speaking,
to work on the structure of an “Elevator pitch” (a short self-presentation), to develop skills in working with nonverbal communication (gestures, facial expressions, posture), as well as to form an understanding of one’s own uniqueness and personal brand.
“The most useful thing is the structure of presenting yourself. Now I definitely know how to briefly present my idea in an Elevator pitch or when meeting new people,” noted Mariia, 21 years old.
In addition, there is a demand from the audience to continue training on public speaking topics, such as participation in debates and the basics of oratory.
The event was held with financial support from UNICEF.
