On February 17, an event in the “Living Library” format took place at the High Hub Youth Center, featuring two “books”: “About Sports” with Volodymyr Shmakov and “Victoria’s Victories” with Viktoriia Shevchenko. The stories of these “books” focus on promoting an active lifestyle, building resilience among young people through direct communication with successful individuals, and breaking stereotypes about the path to success.
The story “About Sports” (Volodymyr Shmakov) is an instruction-book on how to make sports a part of everyday life. Volodymyr shared his experience of professional development, spoke about the importance of routine, and explained how physical activity helps overcome psychological crises.
“Victoria’s Victories” (Viktoria Shevchenko) is a motivational book. Viktoriia addressed the topic of inner victories, overcoming the fear of failure, and the importance of determination. The main emphasis was on the idea that every great victory consists of hundreds of small steps.
Both Volodymyr and Viktoriia are people from whom there is much to learn, and their experience will be useful to those who want to successfully move toward their goals and достойно overcome all life’s challenges.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “HIGH HUB” of the Vysokyi Settlement Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the project “Community Pulse,” funded by the Global Fund for Community Foundations.
