Recently, while delivering gifts for children with cancer at the 16th Children’s Hospital, we received an unusual request. The doctors asked for a bell and children’s hats. In this department, young patients are battling severe illnesses, and during treatment, they often lose their hair. To support the children, the medical staff created a box where they can choose a hat or even a wig.
The bell requested by the doctors holds special significance. Its sound will symbolize victory: every child who overcomes their illness will be able to loudly announce their recovery to the world.
Thanks to a request in the volunteer mutual aid chat organized by “Nova Poshta Humanitarian,” we received the necessary items. Ms. Tetiana Vashchenkova from Dnipro purchased the bell, and Ms. Lyudmyla from the volunteer organization “Unbreakable” in the Southern Odesa region provided wonderful hats for the kids. We sincerely thank them for their kindness!
