The fourth chess tournament “Chess Cup” was held in the Vysochan community. The event took place on June 16, 2024, in the Palace of Culture and Arts in the village of Babai
11 sportsmen and women from Babai and Pokotylivka took part in the tournament and the places in them were distributed as follows:
Senior group, guys:
1st place – Artem Dzyuba, 29 years old, village Babai
2nd place — Yevgeny Ochkasov, 18, Pokotilyvka
3rd place — Pavlo Budzyn, 13 years old, Pokotylivka
Younger group, boys:
1st place — Kyrych Ilya, 11 years old, village Rocking chair
2nd place — Vlad Lagutin, 13, Pokotylivka village
3rd place — Mishchenko Yaroslav, 10 years old, village Rocking chair
Girls:
1st place — Korotkova Veronika, 8 years old, Pokotilivka village
2nd place — Alina Babayeva, 21 years old, from Pokotylivka
3rd place — Viktoriya Baklushina, 11 years old, from Babai.
All participants received commemorative gifts from the Head of the NGO “Association of Youth Leaders” M. Blagovestov
And the winners – cups, medals, certificates from the Vysochan State University of Applied Sciences
The participants of the tournament are also satisfied with its course and organization:
Yaroslav, 10 years old: “I am glad that I took part in the tournament, and the third place in it is also an achievement for me, chess is a sweet and interesting game, I will continue to play it”
Artem, 29 years old “Thanks to this tournament, I learned that there is a Youth Center in our community, I was interested in its initiatives, I want to visit its other activities as well”
