On March 31, workshops were held at the High Hub Youth Center: “Second Life of Things: Bottle Decoupage” and “Soft Felt Toy.”
The goal of the “Bottle Decoupage” workshop was to introduce participants to the technique of decorating objects using napkins, as well as to develop aesthetic taste and ecological thinking.
Boys and girls decorated vintage medicine bottles that we found in the attic of an old pharmacy during renovations. These old glass items were transformed into original vases, lamps, and decorative interior objects. The second workshop, “Felt Toy,” gave each participant the opportunity to create a funny and unique souvenir.
Holding such activities contributed to:
- The development of fine motor skills and concentration.
- Reducing psychological stress through creative self-expression.
- Gaining practical skills that can be used to create handmade gifts.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysokyi Settlement Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the project “Pulse of the Community,” funded by The Global Fund for Community Foundations.
