The team of the NGO “Veterans’ Wives” works daily to support Kharkiv residents affected by the war. We purchase food, sort it, pack it into aid kits, and deliver it where it’s needed most. This is our way of showing care, humanity, and support during the darkest times for our fellow citizens.
Each package contains our love for Kharkiv, gratitude to its resilient people, and faith in victory.
Recently, we delivered food to a mother of many children from Donetsk region, who was forced to flee shelling with her five kids. Alone — without a home, without a job, without support — she settled in the unfamiliar city of Kharkiv. They live in a dormitory and face financial hardship… Yet she stays strong for her children. Strong, just like our country.
When she saw our volunteers, tears welled up in her eyes:
“I didn’t expect anything… Just thank you for not forgetting us.”
Stories like this remind us why we do what we do. We are not just delivering aid — we are supporting life.
