On 14.08 in Babai, the High Hub Youth Center held a training on promoting tolerance “Stereotype Destroyers” and a live action game “Mafia. Diversity.”
The game “Stereotype Destroyers” was conducted according to the manual “Everyone is different, everyone is their own”, this activity is on the topic “Identity, stereotypes and prejudice” and aims to actualize the issue of the influence of stereotypes on the perception of other people. Do we need stereotypes in our lives? YES, but it should be noted that they are not always true
Vlad, 24 years old: “It is not always possible to use stereotypes, because we can be wrong, and our wrong opinion can negatively affect our actions and attitude towards this or that person.”
The youth continued to explore the topic of stereotypes during the game “Mafia”, which is beloved by all
Participants take part in the discussion from the point of view of their “characters” given by the host, as the main archetypes of prejudices that exist in our society
Mark, 18 years old “During our lives, we come into contact with many different people. We judge them by their appearance and our previously formed prejudices, and this can prevent us from making the right decisions and noticing the individuality of each person.”
The project is implemented by the public organization Association of Youth Leaders of Ukraine and the public organization NGO Youth Platform NGO “Youth Platform” within the framework of the USAID Ukraine – USAID Ukraine Dream and Act program, which is implemented by IREX in Ukraine
