The team from NGO “Veterans’ Wives” participated in the 7th International Veterans Forum “Ukraine. Veterans. Unity.” The event was opened by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The forum featured speeches from Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko, Vice Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk, Minister for Strategic Communications Oleksandr Kamyshan, Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zolnovich, Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Bezkorovainyi, and Acting Minister for Veterans Affairs Oleksandr Porkhun. Veterans, public figures, and experts were also present to discuss current challenges and opportunities for veterans in Ukraine.
One of the speakers at the forum was our organization’s head, Olha Lekhan, who shared the experience of NGO “Veterans’ Wives.” She discussed the importance of supporting military families, especially during their transition to civilian life, and highlighted the work of the Kharkiv Veteran Center. Olha also outlined our initiatives aimed at community development, support for veteran families, psychological assistance, and social adaptation.
The forum served as a platform for exchanging experiences and new ideas, which will help us support our veterans and their families more effectively. We sincerely thank the organizers and all participants for their productive work and shared goal — supporting and developing the veteran community in Ukraine!
