Hello everyone!)
On September 27, 2024, at the SmartCommunity OKC in Pokotilivka, the Youth Center High Hub conducted the following engaging activities:
- Group psychological counseling “To Burn Bright, Not to Burn Out”
- Workshop – “Psychological Game – My Emotions”
Participants began with an interesting introduction and a fun warm-up: the youth happily mimicked all the movements of the character.
During the group therapy session, all attendees took a short test to assess emotional burnout: each had the opportunity to analyze themselves and share their own experiences. Together with the trainer, they discussed the main causes of burnout and learned how to prevent it.
The psychological game involved all the youth, divided into two teams. At the beginning, everyone learned about emotional intelligence and its functions. Then they moved on to the practical part: teams took turns drawing cards and asking each other questions, responding using their emotional intelligence. At the end of the game, the winners were determined and awarded prizes.
And to conclude, the visitors enjoyed a sweet cake.
Liza, 14 years old: “Today I realized why sometimes I don’t want to or lack the energy to go to the dance classes I love—it’s burnout. But psychologist Svitlana told us how to combat it, so I think everything will be fine from now on.”
Yaroslav, 15 years old: “I think the advice I heard during the counseling will come in handy. Now I know how to restore my resources and recharge my ‘battery’ so that I have enough energy not only for my favorite activities but also for studying.”
The project is implemented by the NGO “Association of Youth Leaders of Ukraine” and the NGO “Youth Platform” within the USAID Ukraine – “Dream and Act” program, which is executed by IREX in Ukraine.
