Systemic support for defenders and their families
Olga Lekhan, Head of the NGO “Veterans’ Wives,” visited the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine and held a seminar with cadets-graduates of the Faculty of Humanities. During the meeting, she talked about the support program for defenders, social assistance for military personnel, and their family members.
Future officers, personnel specialists, need to have knowledge of support programs for military personnel and be able to organize quality social support for the families of fallen defenders, families of missing soldiers due to combat actions, active military personnel, and their loved ones.
Special attention was given to psychological support for military personnel after returning from the combat zone, adaptation to civilian life, and the importance of timely support for their families. The cadets were introduced to the main areas of work of the public organization, including support for military families, providing psychological consultations, and organizing various activities to help veterans adapt.
Also, as part of the signed cooperation memorandum, Olga Lekhan held a meeting with officers of the National Guard of Ukraine. The meeting discussed the support program for defenders of the Kharkiv Regional Council.
Thanks to such meetings, a systemic support structure for defenders and their families is being built, which is a key factor in ensuring the well-being and social adaptation of those who defend our country.
