On 25.01, psychological and legal events for children and teenagers took place at the High Hub Youth Center.
The first one — in the field of “Human Rights Education” — “Code of Freedom” — was dedicated to the topic “The Natural Nature of Human Rights. Human Dignity.”
Human rights defender Iurii Chumak invited participants to write on paper: “I can be respected because I am a human being and…” and to continue this sentence. The task turned out not to be very easy, but after completing it, everyone came to the conclusion that each of us should be treated with respect without any “and,” simply because we are all human beings!
Then they watched the documentary film with elements of animation “Broken Branches” by the Docudays UA film clubs, after which they joined a discussion. Together they talked about what human dignity is, why human rights are natural and inalienable, how they manifest themselves in everyday life, and why it is important to respect oneself and others, even in difficult situations.
The second event took place in the format of a group consultation “Check-in: What’s going on with me right now?” They played with the “On Emotions” cards — it was useful and interesting.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “HIGH HUB” of the Vysokyi Settlement Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the project “Pulse of the Community.”
