At the end of 2025, our organization took a very important step. The NGO “Veterans’ Wives” signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Kharkiv City Employment Center. Without loud words or pomp, but with a clear internal understanding of why this is needed and for whom.
We have long been working with the veteran community. We see not only the pain, fatigue, and consequences of war, but also the enormous potential of people who want to continue living, working, and being useful. And, honestly, sometimes the issue of employment becomes the stumbling block in the recovery process. Stable employment is not just about money. It is a sense of being needed, a support, a return of control over one’s own life.
For us, as a public organization, the economic dimension is no less important than the psychological or social one. We want veterans and their family members to have real opportunities for employment specifically in the Kharkiv region. Here, at home. To work, develop the city, help rebuild it, and contribute to the country’s future through their daily work. Serving the Motherland does not end when the uniform comes off; it simply takes a new form.
Cooperation with the Kharkiv branch of the Kharkiv Employment Center opens up new opportunities. This includes support in job searching, professional orientation, training, and guidance. What is important to us is that this partnership is about systematization, not one-time solutions. About the long term, which is exactly what is most needed right now.
