This August, the team of the NGO “Veterans’ Wives” had the honor of visiting the city of Hürth in Germany and taking part in the celebration of Ukraine’s Independence Day, organized by Inna Masen’s team and the “Together” initiative.
We represented Kharkiv — a city that lives under the daily threat of shelling but does not lose its spirit. We spoke about life in frontline communities, about the pain of loss, and at the same time about the resilience of Ukrainians who are fighting for their freedom. Each such meeting is an opportunity to convey the truth about the war and to show that our struggle is a struggle for the values of the entire free world.
We are infinitely grateful to our German friends for their sincerity, support, and solidarity with Ukraine.
