🏐 KHARKIV CITY CHAMPIONSHIP (2nd LEAGUE)
🌸 SPRING 2025
📅 On April 26, 2025, the Kharkiv City Championship (2nd League) of the Spring 2025 season concluded. This intense and lengthy volleyball marathon, which featured eight experienced teams, took place over three months. Every week, opposing teams faced off on the court. The matches were played in two rounds, with each team playing every other team twice. The goal for all the volleyball teams was to accumulate the highest possible number of points.
🔥 Every match was filled with fierce competition. All teams tried to impose their playing style and implement their strategies. Players experienced an emotional high after each victory.
😔 At the same time, sports competitions are not without moments of sorrow and disappointment following losses. Players analyze their defeats, draw conclusions, and aim to improve their skills in subsequent matches. The ultimate goal is victory and earning the maximum points, which is the key criterion for determining the Championship winners.
📋 The participating teams were:
“Rescuer” — Kharkiv
“Sparta” — Kharkiv
“Nogravity Club” — Kharkiv
“DYUSSH Pisochyn” — Pisochyn village
“Spartak Vysokyi” — Vysokyi village
“ZiM” — Kharkiv
“Zeus” — Kharkiv
“Avtomobilist” — Kharkiv
🎉 Both the players and fans experienced positive, vivid emotions throughout the event. The games were emotionally charged. Organizers and referees Oleksandr Mykhailov and Borys Zadneprovskyi demonstrated high professionalism and organized this Championship at the highest level. The matches were held at a sports facility that has hosted Ukrainian Championships.
🏟️ The high technical and organizational standards of the venue also included a comfortable spectator area, offering a spectacular view of the volleyball action.
🏅 The awards ceremony took place at the end of the final game day — April 26, 2025.
The young team “Spartak Vysokyi” won the Kharkiv City Championship (2nd League) Spring 2025 season.
🥈 Second place went to VC “Zeus” Kharkiv
🥉 Third place — VC “DYUSSH Pisochyn” Pisochyn village
📖 Our team from VC “Spartak Vysokyi” has written a memorable and bright page in the sports history of our village. Throughout the village’s history, sports have always been a vital part of the community. However, this is the first time that a volleyball team from Vysokyi has achieved such a victory in the Kharkiv City Championship (2nd League). This is the greatest achievement for our players so far.
📚 A bit of history: VC “Spartak Vysokyi” was founded in the fall of 2015. The team played its first volleyball tournament in the Kharkiv District Championship in the spring of 2016, finishing 7th out of 15 teams. After that, the team engaged in regular training and participated in many tournaments, playing hundreds of matches, constantly improving their skills and gaining experience.
🔄 Over time, the team’s lineup changed, with players continually raising their level of play.
📰 Another piece of great news: our player Danylo Kashkin was selected for the Ukrainian U-16 national team. Currently, the national youth volleyball team of Ukraine is participating in the European Youth Championship. We are proud of our player and fellow resident of Vysokyi.

💪 As an athlete with 55 years of experience, I want to encourage our youth — both boys and girls — to engage in sports actively. I want to emphasize what I believe are simple but timeless truths and values. Active sports mean a healthy life, a vibrant life, emotional uplift, energy, personal development, and character building. This is real life. Sports are a universal educator. A regular sports lifestyle ensures a stable, resilient, and healthy physical and emotional state, which, in turn, enables one to face life’s challenges. Consistent training and competition instill qualities such as discipline, endurance, mutual respect, team spirit, and the will to win.
🙏 In conclusion, on behalf of the VC “Spartak Vysokyi” players and myself, I want to thank the leadership of the Vysokyi community — Oleksandr Moroz and Ivan Mykhailichenko — for developing the sports infrastructure and providing comprehensive support for our volleyball team and the sporting movement in our community.
🫡 We sincerely thank the defenders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for making it possible to hold such sports tournaments.
🇺🇦 A healthy, athletic individual and an active, developed community are the foundation of a prosperous country.
