Training for Military Wives: A Space Where You Are Heard and Understood
As part of the psychological support project for veterans and their families, a psychologist from the NGO “Wives of Veterans” team conducted a special training for military wives.
We gathered in a circle filled with trust, warmth, and support — a place where one can be oneself without masks and without fear of being misunderstood.
We created a safe space where each woman could openly share what was on her heart, talk about her joys and worries, and feel that her experiences are important and valuable.
It was an opportunity to listen to one another, find words of support that warm even in the most difficult moments.
During the meeting, we used MAC cards — a powerful professional tool that helps to dive deeper into one’s own thoughts and feelings. The psychologist guided this process with great sensitivity, helping each participant understand her emotions, accept them, and find inner resources for recovery.
These trainings are not only about psychological support. They are about believing in oneself, understanding the importance of caring for one’s inner world, and building a community of women who become a support for each other. It is a place where a new strength is born — quiet, yet very resilient.
The project is implemented with the support of the KSE Foundation — the charitable foundation of the Kyiv School of Economics.
