Training on “Gender in My Community”
From September 5 to 8, Viktoria Shevchenko, an administrator at the Youth Center High Hub, participated in the training “Gender in My Community,” which took place in Kyiv. The four days were filled with discussions, learning, and reflection on gender equality.
Day 1: We began the training by discussing participants’ expectations and establishing interaction and safety principles for the course. This created a trusting atmosphere for the work ahead.
Day 2: We delved into the specifics of the training process, worked with the manual, and discussed the issue of gender-based violence. This was a day for addressing complex but crucial topics, considering real-life cases and practical assignments.
Day 3: Engaged in activities and practical exercises led by the training team. Participants had the opportunity to apply their knowledge practically and acquire new skills for use in their communities.
Day 4: We reviewed the training outcomes and conducted reflections on all four days.
Thank you for such wonderful initiatives to the “Dream and Act” program, executed by IREX in Ukraine with the support of USAID Ukraine.
