On August 17, 2024, the Youth Beach Volleyball Cup 2×2 for girls born in 2007 and younger took place in the city of Valky.
The tournament was prepared, organized, and conducted by the Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition under the Valky Municipal Territorial Community, Vadym Borysenko, along with the refereeing team, with support from the community administration, represented by Valeriy Skrypnychenko.
Twelve teams from Kharkiv region participated in the tournament:
- 4 teams from VC Valky (Coach: Candidate for Master of Sport Volodymyr Prykhodko)
- 4 teams from Vysokyi Youth Sports School (Coach: Vitaliy Mitsai)
- 1 team from “Spartak” Vysokyi (Coach: Volodymyr Shmakov)
- 1 team from Kolomak (Prepared by Volodymyr Kurtov)
- 1 team from SC “Arsenal” Kharkiv (Coach: Oleksandr Bovt)
- 1 team from KZ HFKSP KHOR Kharkiv (Coach: Anzhela Zinchenko)
All matches were fiercely contested, vibrant, and emotional. The girls, especially in the final games, showcased intense, spectacular rallies. The atmosphere on the court was festive, with an uplifting mood among players and spectators, further enhanced by harmonious music on the court.
The prizes were distributed as follows:
- 1st place — SC “Arsenal” Kharkiv: Lyudmyla Belohub and Diana Honcharenko
- 2nd place — VC Valky: Sofiya Matsutska and Bohdana Mitryakhina
- 3rd place — VC Valky: Alina Datsenko and Alina Potaraieva
All participating teams were awarded certificates, and the winners received cups and medals. Lyudmyla Belohub of SC “Arsenal” was recognized as the best player of the Cup.
We thank the Head of the Organizing Committee under the Valky Municipal Territorial Community, Vadym Borysenko, for providing excellent material and sports facilities. This is a great effort necessary for the development of the youth sports movement in the community.
We also thank the team at KU “Sports for All,” represented by Director Vyacheslav Hrun, for providing a quality award fund. Special thanks go to the mayor of Valky, Valeriy Skrypnychenko, for his consistent support in developing volleyball in the Valky community.
Our sincere gratitude goes to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for enabling us, even in difficult times, to nurture and develop our strong-minded and physically strong youth. This is our future.
