On 24.02, two workshops for teenagers, “Candle of Remembrance” and “Flowers of Resilience,” were held at the High Hub Youth Center.
Participants made candles from natural beeswax sheets and gel with their own hands, decorating them with symbolic elements (prepared decorative wax elements, dried flowers, gel, colored pigment).
The candle on this day was chosen as a reminder that
The light of each candle is a symbol that the flame of our memory will never go out.
The second workshop was the making of flowers from chenille wire. Each flower represented the personal resilience of the participant. As a result,
the participants mastered new handicraft techniques. And their
finished works will become decorations for our Youth Center or their own rooms.
The events are held within the framework of the project “Skills of the Third Millennium,” implemented by the Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysochanska Settlement Council with the support of the Kharkiv Community Foundation “Toloka” within the project “Pulse of the Community” funded by the Global Fund for Community Foundations.
