🧠 World “I Forgot” Day at the High Hub Youth Center
📅 On July 2, an unusual celebration took place — World “I Forgot” Day.
🏢 The Municipal Institution Youth Center “High Hub” of the Vysochanska Village Council also joined the festivities. While it’s not an official holiday, it became a great opportunity to smile and reflect on how often we encounter this small but common phenomenon.
🧩 Forgetting something is completely normal!
👑 Every visitor got to wear a symbolic crown and recall what they forgot to do that day.
🧠 Our memory — although amazing — sometimes fails us. And that’s not always bad. Forgetting can help filter out unnecessary information and focus on what truly matters.
💬 This day became a wonderful chance to look at our “forgetful” moments with humor. Here’s what we did:
- 🧘♀️ Relaxed and stopped blaming ourselves for minor lapses — it’s part of human nature.
- 📖 Shared personal forgetfulness stories with one another.
- 😂 Told our friends about the funniest or most unexpected times we forgot something.
- 📝 Started building better habits — using notebooks, phone reminders, and tools to stay on top of things.
- 🎶 Trained our memory by learning poems and song lyrics.
- 🐶 Simply smiled — thanks to Lucky the dog who helped us with that.
🎂 The event ended with a delicious cake from our good friends at the charitable foundation “Frunze Kitchen – Be Kind!”
🤝 The event was organized by the NGO “Center for Psychological Help ‘Confidence’” with the support of the Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (USAID).
