📌 Oleh Shmakov, an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the production and sale of technical pumping stations, received a microgrant of 500,000 UAH in October 2024. This support was crucial for the development of his business, which had been forced to relocate from a village in Kharkiv region to the city of Kharkiv.
Oleh’s company specializes in the production of pumps for supplying water from wells, as well as in casting and mechanical metal processing. Thanks to the high quality of its products, the enterprise has already successfully exported its goods to the Moldovan market.
When new export opportunities opened up in Estonia and Bulgaria, the entrepreneur faced growing demand and the need for additional raw materials and equipment to fulfill large orders. This required expanding the production base and hiring new staff.
The grant funds were used to purchase a forklift, which significantly optimized internal logistics: from moving components around the workshop and efficient warehousing to feeding raw materials into production lines and loading finished pumps. In addition, an aluminum alloy needed for manufacturing was also purchased.
This grant helped Oleh not only improve product quality and expand his export base but also create new jobs.
