Director of the Kharkiv Regional Employment Center, Oleksandr Kotukov, participated in a session of the “Dialogue between Authorities and Businesses” platform, where he introduced food industry leaders to business support programs implemented by the employment service.
In his presentation, O. Kotukov showcased the capabilities of the All-Ukrainian Economic Platform “Made in Ukraine.” On the basis of three branches of the Kharkiv Employment Center, modern offices are already operating to provide consultations on starting and developing businesses through government projects such as “eRobota,” “eOselya,” and the accessible credit programs “5-7-9,” among others.
Regional entrepreneurs have actively utilized the “Own Business” grant program under the “eRobota” project. This year alone, the regional employment center has approved 454 business plans, with a total financial support amounting to over 130 million UAH. This initiative is expected to create 719 new jobs.
Among state support programs for employers, the head of the regional employment service highlighted:
- Compensation for hiring internally displaced persons (IDPs);
- Compensation for employing the unemployed in new positions and for socially vulnerable categories of workers;
- Compensation for setting up workplaces for people with disabilities;
- Partial unemployment benefits.
“This year, 143 food industry enterprises in Kharkiv have approached the regional employment service for staffing needs. These include companies like MK Meat, Rial LLC, Equator Fish Canning Factory, Bohodukhiv Dairy Plant, Novobavarsky Bread Factory, Roma LLC, and Lekorna. With the service’s assistance, 930 vacancies have been filled, achieving a 77% fulfillment rate,” Kotukov noted.
Additionally, since the beginning of the year, 1,572 residents of Kharkiv region have received vouchers for training from the employment service. These vouchers can be used for education in 155 professions and specialties, with a total of 21 million UAH already allocated under the voucher program.
In concluding his speech, Oleksandr Kotukov encouraged Kharkiv businesses to take advantage of state support programs and emphasized that the regional employment service is always open to collaboration.
